Visual Description

The Ref. 1035 is a 35 mm Pasha in 18k yellow gold, with a screw-down crown set with a sapphire cabochon under a protective cover on a security link, a date and a case back secured by eight screws.

Its dials are cream or white-silver with Arabic numerals and luminous dots under a smooth or polished bezel, plain silvered, or silver guilloché with painted Roman numerals under a rotating bezel; European Watch Co. sold the guilloché kind with a sapphire crystal. Most examples are on an integrated 18k gold Cartier bracelet with a double folding clasp.

Reference Significance

The 1035 is the 35 mm Pasha in 18k yellow gold. The Ref. 2324 is the same size in stainless steel, and the 1035 shares its Cal. 049 as Antiquorum and Sotheby's catalog it.

Historical Context

The dated examples run from about 1997 to the 2010s. Aguttes sold one of circa 1997 with an international warranty certificate dated December 1997, and the later examples are dated circa 2000, the 2000s and circa 2010 to 2020. No source found gives the year the reference was introduced or discontinued.

What to Look For

Read the case back for 1035 and measure the case: catalogs give 35 mm, and Sotheby's 35.5 mm. Ask for a photograph of the movement, which should be the Cal. 049; one older Antiquorum catalog gives a 1035 at 38 mm on the Cal. 191, which no other source matches.

Check that the crown and its protective cover screw down with the cabochon in place and that the gold bracelet and its folding clasp are Cartier's. On a diamond-set example, ask for Cartier papers that record the setting.

How to tell it apart

What separates a Ref. 1035 from its neighbors, and what to check before you buy or sell one.

What is a Pasha de Cartier Ref. 1035 worth?

Public auction and dealer results for Ref. 1035 from November 2023 to November 2026 come to $9,400 to $10,350, with a median of $9,700 across 3 sales of this exact reference. The most recent was $11,050 at Grailzee in August 2026. Condition, service history, and the original box and papers move an individual watch within that range.

What is the Pasha Ref. 1035?

A 35 mm Pasha in 18k yellow gold with an automatic movement and a date: a round case with a screw-down crown set with a sapphire cabochon under a protective cover, and a case back secured by eight screws, most often on an integrated 18k gold Cartier bracelet with a double folding clasp. Antiquorum, Sotheby's and Monaco Legend catalog the movement as the Cal. 049, and Sotheby's and Monaco Legend count 21 jewels.

How is the 1035 different from the steel 2324?

The metal. Both are 35 mm automatic Pashas, and Bonhams catalogs the steel 2324 on the Cal. 049 as Antiquorum and Sotheby's do the gold 1035. The 1035 is 18k yellow gold, usually on a Cartier gold bracelet; the 2324 is stainless steel on a steel bracelet.

What dials and bezels does the 1035 come with?

Cream or white-silver dials with Arabic numerals and luminous dots under a smooth or polished bezel, as Aguttes and Antiquorum catalog them, and a silver guilloché dial with painted Roman numerals under a rotating bezel with 10-minute markers, as European Watch Co. sold it. Monaco Legend has sold one with a pavé diamond dial and a diamond-set bezel and lugs.

What movement is in the Ref. 1035?

The automatic Cartier Cal. 049, which Antiquorum, Sotheby's and Monaco Legend catalog; Sotheby's and Monaco Legend give 21 jewels. One older Antiquorum catalog describes a 1035 at 38 mm on the Cal. 191, dated to the 1980s, which no other source matches, so measure the case and ask for a photograph of the movement.

What should the case back of a 1035 read?

1035, with a case number beside it, such as CC493136 or MG 311 890; Sotheby's printed the reference as 1035 1 on one example. Aguttes sold one with an international warranty certificate dated December 1997.
