Visual Description

The Ref. 2324 is a 35 mm Pasha in brushed and polished stainless steel, with T-bar lugs, a cap that screws down over the crown on a chain or security link, and a case back secured by eight screws.

The dial is white or black, with Arabic numerals, applied baton or luminous markers and a magnified date aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock, under a sapphire crystal; Bonhams describes sword hands with luminous inserts. The bracelet is integrated Cartier steel with a folding clasp.

Reference Significance

The 2324 is the small-date Pasha in a 35 mm steel case. The Ref. 2475 is the same size in steel with a large date at 6 o'clock in a double aperture, which Antiquorum catalogs as the Pasha Automatic Large Date.

Historical Context

The dated examples run from the 1990s to about 2000. Analog/Shift sold one with a guarantee dated December 1999, and the auction catalogs consulted date theirs to circa 1999 or circa 2000. No source found gives the year the reference was introduced or discontinued.

Only Bonhams names the movement: 21 jewels, cataloged as the Cal. 049 on its example of circa 1999 and as the ETA 2892A2 on one of circa 2000.

What to Look For

Read the case back for 2324 and the case number beside it, and measure the case: most catalogs give 35 mm, while Bonhams gives 35.5 mm for one example and Artcurial 39 mm for one in the PB series.

Check that the cap screws down over the crown and keeps its chain, that the date changes cleanly in its magnified window, and that the bracelet closes on a Cartier clasp. Ask for a photograph of the movement, since only one auction house names the caliber.

How to tell it apart

What separates a Ref. 2324 from its neighbors, and what to check before you buy or sell one.

What is a Pasha de Cartier Ref. 2324 worth?

Public auction and dealer results for Ref. 2324 from November 2021 to November 2026 (five years, as the last three alone have too few) come to $2,100 to $2,250, with a median of $2,250 across 3 sales of this exact reference. The most recent was $2,000 at Aguttes in December 2023. Condition, service history, and the original box and papers move an individual watch within that range.

What is the Pasha Ref. 2324?

A 35 mm Pasha in stainless steel with an automatic movement: a round case with T-bar lugs, a cap that screws down over the crown and is held to the case by a chain, a case back secured by eight screws, and a white or black dial with Arabic numerals and a magnified date between 4 and 5 o'clock, on an integrated Cartier steel bracelet with a folding clasp. Bonhams catalogs the movement with 21 jewels, as the Cal. 049 on one example and the ETA 2892A2 on another.

How is the 2324 different from the 2475?

By the date. Both are 35 mm steel automatic Pashas, but the 2324 shows the date in a single magnified window between 4 and 5 o'clock, while the 2475 has a large date at 6 o'clock in a double aperture. Analog/Shift has once listed a 35 mm steel Pasha with an outsized date at 6 as Ref. 2324, so read the number on the case back.

Is the 2324 a Pasha C?

European Watch Co. lists it as the Pasha C, while Bonhams, Aguttes, Artcurial and Analog/Shift catalog it simply as the Pasha. The number on the case back is 2324 either way.

Does the 2324 have another reference number?

Analog/Shift has listed one as REF W31015M7-2324, tying the catalog number W31015M7 to this 35 mm steel automatic, so Archiva lists it with this reference. Catalogs print case numbers beside 2324 in CC, CD and PB series, such as CC560081, 579826CD and PB31677.

What should I check before buying a Ref. 2324?

The case back for 2324; the cap over the crown, which should screw down and keep its chain; a date that changes cleanly in its magnified window between 4 and 5 o'clock; and the movement, which only Bonhams names. Measure the case: most catalogs give 35 mm, but Artcurial gives 39 mm for one example in the PB series.
